Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has described Hugo Lloris' clash with teammate Son Heng-min as 'beautiful'.
The two Spurs stars had a coming together at the end of the first half in Monday night's 1-0 win over Everton.
Lloris felt Son gave up on chasing his man in the lead up to a missed chance from Richarlison just before half-time and confronted him on his way into the tunnel at the break.
But rather than condemn the incident, Mourinho says he was impressed, the two players making up at half-time before going on to see out the win in the second half.
"That's beautiful," he told Sky Sports. "Probably it is a consequence of our meetings. If you want to blame somebody for that it is me.
"I was critical of my boys because they are not, in my opinion, enough critic with themselves or each other.
"I asked them to be more demanding, to demand more from others and put their colleagues under that pressure of that team spirit, that you have to give everything for everybody.
"It was a situation at the end of the first half where an amazing kid that everybody loves like Son, a team boy - but it was a situation where the captain thought in the last minute of the first half, you have to give more for the team and a better effort than he gave.
"A couple of bad words, I don't even know if there was any push or no, but I think it is very important for the team to grow up because for a team to grow up, you need to demand from each other, to be strong personalities.
"I was really pleased and so at half-time, I told them ' when you have this reaction, I have no doubts that in the second half you are going to stick together until the end'."
The win sees Tottenham into eighth place, one point behind seventh-place Arsenal.
