Jose Mourinho's big frustration at Tottenham ahead of the January transfer window

Jose Mourinho has revealed what he wants during the January transfer window.

And it's not necessarily new signings.

Rather the Tottenham Hotspur head coach wants to spend time on the training ground which he accepts is unlikely given the hectic festive period heading into the new year which sees his side play five games between now and January 2nd.

"Perfectly clear. I want to work. I'm going to have time to work, which until now I don't have," he said during his pre-Wolves press conference. "I complain every day with my staff, the frustration of I want to do a certain kind of training.

"I just can't do it. It's frustrating. I love pre-season to work. I don't have.

"January we're going to have a little bit and then depending on the week in February where we are not going to play the PL, we are going to have another week.

"This is what I want. I want time.

"The calendar, the fixtures is going to give me a little bit of time in January and February.

"That's what I want. I want that week to work."

Mourinho has also been tipped to enter the transfer market to bolster his squad for the second half of the season.

However, despite seeing his side keep just one clean sheet in the six games in which he's been head coach, he has no plans to sign a central defender.

"No, it is not about the players, it is about the process," he added.

"It is about the way the team plays, it is about the way the team defends

"It is not about the individuals, the player are good players."
