Jose Mourinho reveals when he plans to return to football management

Jose Mourinho has revealed he plans to return to management in June this year.

The former Manchester United boss says he has rejected "three or four" offers to get back in the dugout since being relieved of his duties at Old Trafford in December.

He oversaw the worst start for United in the Premier League since the top flight's inception in its current guise in 1992.

But his reputation as a serial winner has still seen him be of interest to a clutch of top clubs including Real Madrid , who considered a return to the Bernabeu for the self-styled Special One before opting to re-appoint Zinedine Zidane.

And Mourinho says he hopes to be in charge of a club by the summer so he can prepare for the new season.

"I would like to be back in the summer in June for a new club and a new pre-season," he told BeIn Sports.

"I know exactly what I don't want. I know what I want, in terms of not the specific club but the nature of the job, the dimension of the job."

Despite being ready to get back into management, Mourinho insists he misses "nothing" about the job, instead putting his desire to return down to boredom.

"I am working, preparing myself for the next one," he added.

But he did confirm he would not take a job with a national team, instead wanting to coach a club side.

He said: "I don't think so. I like daily football, daily work, many competitions. I like matches and I want to stay in football club level."
