Jose Mourinho reveals what he's noticed about the Tottenham dressing room following poor results

Jose Mourinho has stated that he and his players are motivated as they have ever been despite a run of five defeats from their last six Premier League games.

Riding high in the table prior to Christmas and in a very good position to kick on in 2021, Tottenham are now down in ninth after a huge dip in form since the turn of the year.

Spurs still have 14 games left to secure a top-four finish but that will only happen if they get back to winning ways as soon as possible and don't fall even further behind their rivals.

Losing 2-1 away at West Ham last time out in the league, Spurs dominated the game in the second half but couldn't add to Lucas Moura's header as both Gareth Bale and Son Heung-min struck the woodwork.

JOSE MOURINHO PREVIEWS TOTTENHAM V BURNLEY IN PREMIER LEAGUE

Mourinho saw positives in the defeat in east London and he has claimed that there is "no depression" hanging over the side and that everyone at the club is determined to turn things around and get their season back on track.

"The positives are there in our performances so now it is important that we get back to converting this into points in the league, starting with this afternoon's opponents as we welcome Burnley to our home," he said in his column in Tottenham's matchday programme (which you can purchase here) for the Burnley game.

"When you are in a difficult run of results, you need victories to turn that around and I know everybody in that dressing room is determined to make that happen.

"Our recent scores in the Premier League do not make any of us happy and we will continue to support each other through this spell because we are all in this together.

"There is no depression hanging over us, we all remain positive because we know the quality that exists within our squad to climb back up the table.

"There are still a large number of games left to play and many possibilities remain open to us.

"The players and I are as motivated as we have ever been, the desire and attitude is there for all to see on the pitch so we must keep working hard because we know we are better than this and we plan to show that today by coming away with all the points."
