Jose Mourinho praises two Man Utd and Liverpool transfer targets

Jose Mourinho has run the rule over two of Manchester United's big summer targets - and likes what he sees.

He believes Benfica forward Joao Felix and Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes could go all the way to the top.

The former United boss says they are both "great talents" as speculation links them with a move to Old Trafford.

United, Liverpool and Real Madrid have been linked with teenager Felix since last year.

Fernandes is also on the radar of Europe's top clubs and the former Reds boss thinks they could offer a giant club plenty.

"I think they should leave them alone and not talk about Cristiano,’ Mourinho said, speaking at the ANTF Coaches Forum in Portimao.

"It’s ridiculous to talk about Cristiano and compare the talent that comes up with him, no matter how big they are. Remember, they are two great talents.

"I always say in the countries where I work, that even though Portugal does is not considered a ‘big’ league in their eyes, the players who play in the big clubs are well prepared.

"They have a great social dimension and they can cope with a lot of pressure.

"At Benfica, Porto or Sporting they sit in their natural habitat, and when they leave Portugal, they will be ready for beautiful careers."

Why Man Utd face big defensive crisis in their next Premier League games

Mourinho has responded to speculation linking him with Bayern Munich.

"It's a country I've never trained in. Why not? Let's see."

"I would like to win a third Champions League with a third club and to win a fifth league in a fifth different country," Mourinho is quoted as saying by Record.

"But I do not always have what I want and my ambitions are not limited to this."
