Jose Mourinho picks three positive Manchester United players after West Ham defeat

Jose Mourinho believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could not take any positives from their defeat to West Ham.

United produced a lacklustre display in the 2-0 loss at the London Stadium, as goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell consigned them to their second defeat of the campaign.

There were several poor performances from United players, but Mourinho picked out the three new signings Daniel James, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as players he likes.

Sitting alongside former United captain Roy Keane in the Sky Sports studio, Mourinho was asked if there were any positives for United to take from the game, said simply: "No. I don't think so. I can't find any.

"They have three new players, and I have to say three players with a positive impact. I like the three and I think they are bringing some good quality to the team.

"But the team as a team I don't like at all. I don't think Ole can take any positives from the game."

called United's first half performance "confused" and chastised players for not closing down the Hammers' players in the build-up to Yarmolenko's opener.

And though Solskjaer's side produced a slightly improved performance in the second half, they were punished and have now picked up just eight points after six games this season.
