Jack Clarke is now back in north London after his loan spell at Leeds United was prematurely cut short.
Having joined Tottenham from the West Yorkshire club in the summer, the winger returned to Elland Road on a season-long loan deal to help him gain more experience of playing regular first-team football.
Despite a stunning breakthrough year in the Championship during the 2018/19 season, the York-born ace was unable to have the same impact as he was limited to only three appearances for Marcelo Bielsa's side, with two of those coming in the Carabao Cup back in August.
Clarke's return means that he can now play for Spurs but it has been reported that the likes of Brentford, Fulham and Middlesbrough are keen on securing the player on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
Asked by football.london if the player could come into his thinking for the FA Cup third round tie against Boro on Sunday afternoon, Mourinho outlined the club's plans for the 19-year-old.
"I know it's finished but the structure is looking for another loan where he can play," he said.
"In this half season he was not playing much and the objective of a loan is for the players to play. A loan without minutes is frustration loan.
"One is enough so the next one we must be sure is a club and a manager that really wants him to play."
Clarke was one of four players to return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following temporary spells away from the capital.
Cameron Carter-Vickers also returned to N17 after failing to make Michael O'Neill's Stoke City squad in recent weeks following his appointment as boss, with Anthony Georgiou's loan spell at Ipswich Town also cut short after a lack of minutes.
Kazaiah Sterling also saw his loan spell at Doncaster Rovers ended early after a frustrating injury restricted him to only four appearances for the League One outfit.
