Jose Mourinho offered Giovani Lo Celso solution as Tottenham reject Aaron Ramsey swap

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Saturday, July 4.

Mourinho's Lo Celso decision

Jose Mourinho should mull over the idea of playing Giovani Lo Celso further foward.

Whilst he was initially seen as the man to play as a No. 10 following his summer arrival from Real Betis, he has been more of a central midfielder since breaking into the first-team.

He has been a key figure and pulls the strings in the middle of the park for Spurs.

Yet could playing him further forward prove more beneficial to Spurs?

It would provide more support for an isolated Harry Kane and also get the best out of Tanguy Ndombele.

Ancelotti injury update

Spurs will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at Sheffield United when they face Everton on Monday.

Yet their task has not been made any easier by Carlo Ancelotti delivering some morale-boosting injury news for the in-form Toffees.

Everton were forced to do without Richarlison for the final 30 minutes of their Leicester last time out.

Whilst Theo Walcott and Fabian Delph are both ruled out, Ancelotti said the Brazilian attacker will be back fit, along with another key man.

Ramsey deal rejected

The Daily Telegraph report that Spurs have rejected a floated swap deal from Juventus for Tanguy Ndombele.

In what would have been an eye-catching deal, former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey would have moved to Spurs.

Ramsey's huge wages mean Juve are open to seeing him leave Turin this summer.

With Ndombele being criticised by Jose Mourinho, Juve had hoped they would be able to tempt Spurs into the swap deal.

Yet Ndombele is still understood to be in Mourinho's long-term plans.
