Jose Mourinho mocked by fan in mash-up of The Smiths' hit 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now' after Man Utd sacking

Jose Mourinho was sacked by Manchester United on Tuesday morning and inevitably, the internet reacted in its own hilarious way.

The Portuguese tactician was given his marching orders by the board with the club 19 points behind leaders Liverpool after a 3-1 defeat to their arch rivals at Liverpool.

Naturally, Mourinho will be feeling disheartened about his reign ending prematurely after two-and-a-half years in charge.

But perhaps even he could force a smile after a fan created a mash-up version of The Smiths' hit song Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now.

The video contains snippets of interviews and press conferences throughout Mourinho's time at Old Trafford to match the lyrics to the song - with a few adjustments.

Created by Twitter user '@swedemason' just an hour after Mourinho's departure was confirmed, the lyrics relate to the 55-year-old's apparent discontent with no longer managing Chelsea and his fractured relationship with the United squad.

After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was confirmed as Man Utd's new interim coach on Wednesday, however, the songwriter may feel he needs to add another verse.

The song lyrics for Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now mash-up...

"I was happy with my wage and Chelsea power

But heaven knows I'm miserable now

I was looking for a club and then I found the club

And heaven knows that I'm miserable now

In my career

Why did I give valuable time to players who don't care if I live or die?"
