Jose Mourinho makes Premier League prediction ahead of Manchester United vs Chelsea

Jose Mourinho does not believe Manchester United can mount a title challenge this season and predicts Tottenham to be fighting it out with Manchester City and Liverpool.

City pipped Liverpool to the post to win the title last season and the former United manager is predicting more of the same from Pep Guardiola's side having been impressed with the strength in depth of City's squad in their opening win of the Premier League season.

Liverpool set the tone for the season with a 4-1 win against Norwich on Friday night and City responded in style with a 5-0 hammering of West Ham on Saturday lunchtime and Mourinho believes it will only be Spurs, who came from behind to beat Aston Villa in their opening game of the new season, who will push last season's top two.

"City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City B team," Mourinho replied on Sky Sports when asked who would be in the title race.

"When I looked at the bench yesterday there were some images of the bench and the players that were not even involved I think even the B team could fight for the title.

"Independent of what happens today even if one of the teams plays magnificently and has a fantastic results I don't believe there are going to be in the title race and in spite of some good players I don't see Arsenal to resist to a title race. I think Tottenham has to join it. "
