Jose Mourinho makes Manchester United vs Liverpool prediction

Jose Mourinho has offered up a prediction on Manchester United's clash with Liverpool this afternoon at Old Trafford.

The former United boss is back in the studio again this afternoon as he provides his expert view for Sky Sports.

Mourinho left the Red Devils last December with the club struggling for form in the Premier League, before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over and enjoyed a honeymoon period at the club.

Solskjaer has since endured a rough patch as well at Old Trafford but is hoping to turn around some indifferent form against league leaders Liverpool today.

Whilst Liverpool are the favourites to claim all three points in Manchester, Mourinho insists that the contest will be close between the two great rivals.

"First of all, what the game means for the fans and in the dressing room, you feel that. It’s not a game like the others, that is for sure," Mourinho explained.

"Graeme (Souness) says it will not be easy for anyone, I have to agree. Everyone expects Liverpool, who are top of the league, winning matches. Everyone expects Liverpool to come here and win.

"I’m not so sure, I think United have a great chance to change at least the feelings. The difference between nine, ten, 12 points is not huge but the difference between losing at home against the biggest rival or not to lose at home I think makes a huge difference."
