Jose Mourinho has made the bold claim that he believes Chelsea's Jorginho is the best midfielder in Europe.
The 27-year-old followed Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge from Napoli in the summer in a £50million move but it hasn't been all plain sailing for the Italian in west London.
He moved fan favourite N'Golo Kante out of his favoured position in the holding role of the midfield, while he has been booed and jeered on several occasions by some fans and used as the scapegoat for Sarri's Sarri-Ball philosophy.

But Sarri has stuck by his man and has continued to talk about the importance that Jorginho brings to the team in being able to move possession of the ball on with his one and two-touch football and has reiterated how he wants to have a technical player in that role.
And now he's found an unlikely ally in former Chelsea manager Mourinho, who in his punditry role on BeIN sports has made a big claim about Jorginho that would put him above the likes of Luka Modric and Kevin de Bruyne in the European ranking of midfields.
Speaking on BeIN sports, he said: "Jorginho is, for me, the best midfielder in Europe. The way he controls the game, recovers turnovers of possession and maintains the pressure, it's incredible."
