Jose Mourinho lacked class when celebrating Manchester United's win over Juventus, says Paul Scholes

Paul Scholes says Jose Mourinho lacked class with his on-pitch celebration after Manchester United beat Juventus in Turin.

Trailing 1-0 to a stunning Cristiano Ronaldo volley, Juan Mata scored a free kick four minutes from time before Leonardo Bonucci put the ball into his own net amid a scramble.

Mourinho walked onto the pitch at full-time with his hand around his ears having seemingly endured taunts from sections of the home support throughout.

"You need to win with a bit of class," Scholes said on BT Sport.

"I don't think there is any need for that. Go over and clap the away fans, shake the manager's hand.

"It is needless but that is just the way he is."

Bonucci approached Mourinho to stop his celebration. Mourinho said after the game that he "respects everything" about Juventus.

Mourinho remains an unpopular figure in Turin after guiding fierce rivals Inter Milan to a famous treble in 2010.
