Jose Mourinho is still in a WhatsApp group with players from team he used to manage

Jose Mourinho is still in a WhatsApp group with players he used to manage at Inter Milan, according to Samuel Eto'o.

The Portuguese took the reins at Inter Milan back in 2008 following three years at Chelsea, in which he won them their first Premier League title.

Mourinho's spell in Italy was arguably more successful than his one in the UK, as he guided Inter Milan to Champions League glory.

And it seems that the strong relationships forged at the club, which helped Inter Milan succeed in Europe, are still at large ten years on.

According to Eto'o, former Manchester United boss Mourinho updates the old WhatsApp group regularly with results from around the continent.

"This man [Mourinho] created a family at Inter Milan," said Eto'o.

"We have a WhatsApp group which we all talk on every day, celebrating birthdays and reliving memories and Jose is always updating us on the scores around Europe, he is obsessed!"

Mourinho and Eto'o recently met up an exclusive event in Madrid to launch LiveScore and LaLiga's three-year global partnership.

"It is important football continues to innovate and embrace technologies that can develop the game for clubs and leagues but, and I say this after my first summer as a fan, that the emotion remains in football," said Mourinho.

"LiveScore's partnership with LaLiga most definitely puts the fan first.

"I have spent many hours watching football these past six months and I must confess I have become addicted to LiveScore.

"It looks after me and ensures I am across the action in the world's biggest leagues."
