Jose Mourinho in brutal Steven Gerrard throwback as Celtic linked boss teases Rangers manager and Liverpool

A mischievous Jose Mourinho has revisited the scene of one of his finest hours - or biggest crimes, depending on your allegiance.

The former Chelsea boss masterminded Liverpool's 2014 title race collapse on the afternoon Steven Gerrard succumbed to his infamous slip.

Mourinho's Blues triumphed 2-0 to take the wind of the Anfield side's sails in a result that allowed Manchester City to retake control in a nail-biting race for the finish line.

The match has since been regarded as Mourinho's definitive 'parking the bus' moment as a depleted Chelsea snuffed out Brendan Rodgers' rampant side and nicked it at the other end.

They were clearly helped by current Rangers boss Gerrard's tumble and Mourinho has thrown back to the occasion on its seven-year anniversary.

He posted a picture on his official Instagram where he can be seen withholding the ball from Gerrard as he attempted to restart play.

The picture was followed by the caption: "Anfield, April 27th 2014. Ball possession"

Mourinho was linked with the vacant manager's job at Celtic last week, with reports claiming the Portuguese had been approached by the club following his dismissal from Tottenham Hotspur.
