Jose Mourinho hints at further signings to add to Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon

Jose Mourinho says Tottenham will continue attempting to strengthen their squad until the end of the transfer window following his side's impressive 5-2 win over Southampton.

A sensational four goals by Son Heung-min from four Harry Kane assists did the damage at St Mary's, with Kane himself grabbing the other and Danny Ings netting a brace for the Saints.

It caps a fantastic two days for the club after they confirmed the signings of left-back Sergio Reguilon and forward Gareth Bale from Real Madrid on Friday.

They join Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty through the door this summer, and Mourinho hailed Spurs for their business so far - before declaring he still wants more before the window closes next month.

"Gareth when fit is one of the top players in Europe," he said. "Sergio was amazing last season. If you ask me if I am happy to have these players, yes I am."

When asked whether he would like further additions, he added: "Yes. For a season like this we need a good squad and we need two players for each position," suggesting another striker may be top of his wishlist.

In order to do so Spurs may have to sell, and there are some rumours Dele Alli could be one of those out of the door after he was left out of the squad to face the Saints.

On the topic of the England international, Mourinho said: "I'm not responsible for the market. I don't know how to answer your question in relation to that.

"The only thing I can say is that I left eight players behind. They stayed and trained this morning because they are a big group and Dele is amongst these players.

"I want a balanced squad, that's what I want."
