Dier receives ban
The FA have come down hard on Eric Dier with a four-game ban after the Tottenham Hotspur defender entered the crowd after a game back in March.
The 26-year-old has been handed the ban and a £40,000 fine which will leave Jose Mourinho livid with the decision.
Dier jumped into the stands at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on March 4 after the end of the FA Cup defeat to Norwich.
It was claimed at the time that Dier had spotted his brother in trouble up in the west stand so climbed up the steps in order to get him out of the situation.
However, the FA have not treated his case with such sympathy and he will now miss the matches against Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Leicester City, before returning for the final game against Crystal Palace.
Mourinho on Walker-Peters
Jose Mourinho has claimed that Tottenham won't stop Kyle Walker-Peters from leaving if he wants to depart this summer.
Starting the season as Mauricio Pochettino's first-choice right-back due to a Serge Aurier injury, the right-back only appeared in one game under under the new head coach prior to his exit.
His St Mary's loan move didn't go to plan initially but he has since kicked on and is now impressing for Ralph Hasenhuttl's team since the restart.
Quizzed at his press conference about Walker-Peters' recent performances and his Spurs future, Mourinho opened up on the situation and also stressed that he's not in charge of transfers.
Tottenham's cash injection
An important transfer window lies ahead for Jose Mourinho.
A mixed run of form that has comprised two wins, one draw and one defeat since the reason restarted means that there is uncertainty over where Tottenham Hotspur will finish this season.
Whether they qualify for the Champions League, Europa League or neither, they will still be linked with transfers - and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg presents an interesting conundrum.
Recent reports from The Telegraph outline that Spurs will need to sell players in order to finance a move for the Southampton man, who has been valued at around £35-40million.
Despite a high valuation from the Saints, there are a number of ways that Mourinho could look to finance a deal. One method, perhaps the most high-risk option, would be to test Southampton’s bottle with a deal worth far less than what they will be likely to quote.
Hojbjerg has already voiced his desire to play at a higher standard and just one year left on his current contract means that the club could be forced to either sell him now or risk losing him as a free agent next summer.
