Jose Mourinho has one word to describe the dramatic north London derby between Arsenal and Spurs

Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has described Arsenal's 2-2 North London derby draw with Tottenham as 'funny'.

Mourinho was a pundit for the game for Sky Sports and witnessed a fantastic game at the Emirates Stadium as the Gunners came from 2-0 down to earn a point against their local rivals.

Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane had given Spurs a two-goal advantage before goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brought Arsenal level with both sides going close to winning the game.

Mourinho's instant verdict was to suggest it was 'funny' to watch before explaining: "There was play that was incredible to watch at this level."

"What matters is that millions of people that watched the game, and everybody at home is a part of it, as well as the thousands that were here, for sure they enjoyed it."

Asked what that game would be like to manage in, he added: "A heart attack.

"Because for the last 10-15 minutes of the game, the game had 80 metres between the defensive line of Arsenal and the defensive line of Spurs.

"It was like 80 metres, lots of space to play. Counter attack, counter attack, lots of empty space. Incredible, a game completely out of control.

“If one of the two teams has a little bit more brains and control and tactical sense, they would win it.”
