Jose Mourinho says he has no plans to return to management in the short-term following his sacking from Spurs.
The former Manchester United manager was sacked by Spurs after 18 months in charge, with the club sat seventh in the Premier League and struggling to make the top four.
Spurs' decision came just days before their Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, prompting some surprise at the timing of Mourinho's departure.
Yet subsequent reports have claimed the Portuguese manager alienated many of the Spurs squad due to his over-the-top and outspoken criticism of players due to poor performances and frustrating results.
Mourinho has subsequently lined up a number of punditry jobs for the upcoming Euros but is yet to be linked with a return to management, with his trophy-laden CV in danger of being overshadowed by his underwhelming and ill-tempered stints at Old Trafford and Spurs.
Speaking to the Times, the 58-year-old said he currently has no plans to return to management and will instead wait for the right time to return to football.
He also hinted that he may have an elongated stint out of management, revealing that even taking a job next season may prove to be too soon for him.
He said: "I have no plans. I am going on with my normal life. I feel fresh. I feel calm.
"I am on holiday. I have more time to be doing my homework and analysis. I’ll wait to be back in football.
"Not just for the right club, but for the right culture.
"Maybe next season is premature, we will see."
