Jose Mourinho goes on Instagram rant as fed-up Tottenham boss sticks the boot into international football

Us Scotland fans might have enjoyed this international break more than most after Thursday night's heroic result.

But there are still plenty out there who are disenfranchised with the time out from domestic football.

Not least because of the havoc it seems to wreak on clubs like Celtic on a monthly basis.

Neil Lennon seems to have managed to get Mohamed Elyounoussi and Kris Ajer out of Norway safely this time but it was only last month that he was facing a derby against Rangers with a plethora of first-team absences.

He's not the only gaffer who isn't thrilled to have to send his players away, too.

Because Tottenham's Jose Mourinho has lashed out at the international break on Instagram after Spurs right-back Matt Doherty tested positive, the third Ireland man to do so in the last week.

Mourinho, with his tongue planted firmly in cheek, wrote: "Amazing week of football.

"Great emotions in the national team matches, superb friendlies and total safety.

"Covid test results after matches been played, randomers running on the pitch while team sessions are taking place and much more (quizzical emoji).

"After another training session with only 6 players, it is now time to take care of myself."
