Jose Mourinho gives Harry Kane transfer prediction amid Spurs exit rumours

Former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is expecting wantaway striker Harry Kane to remain in north London this summer.

The Spurs striker has expressed his desire to leave the club this transfer window, with reports suggesting that the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea were circling.

Whilst a move has not yet come to fruition with Kane busy on England duty at Euro 2020, interest is expected to ramp up after the conclusion of the tournament.

football.london understands that Spurs are not keen to sell and Mourinho is amongst those who expects Kane to still be a Tottenham player when the 2021/22 season finally kicks off.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the Portuguese said: “Signing a new contract and staying? I don’t know

“I would say this is probably what is going to happen. I don’t see Mr Levy with the desire to sell him. I don’t see that.

“Of course Harry was very objective, very clear, very direct before the Euros. He told that he wanted to leave the club but I don’t see Mr Levy open for that but it’s something that only they know what he is going to happen after the Euros.”

Spurs are currently under no pressure to accept any deal for Kane with the England captain still having three years left to run on his contract in north London.

He enjoyed an extremely profitable relationship with Mourinho during the Portuguese’s stint at the club.

In 62 matches under the tutelage of Mourinho, Kane scored 45 goals in all competitions and notched 18 assists.
