Tottenham's results may not suggest it but March has been a very good month for one player.
Losing 3-2 against Wolves last Sunday after leading at half-time, the team then crashed out of the FA Cup on penalties at the hands of Norwich City before recording a point at Burnley.
Eric Dier has in fact started in all three games and come out of them rather well.
Initially brought straight back into Jose Mourinho's side in the holding role in midfield after not featuring regularly in the final few months of Mauricio Pochettino's tenure, the 26-year-old has been in and out of the team due to his form.
He looked so far off the player the Portuguese boss desperately wanted to sign during his time at Manchester United and it meant that he had to contend with appearances off the bench.
It was a vicious circle for Dier in terms of that he needed the minutes to improve but his performances meant that Mourinho couldn't give him the necessary time on the pitch.
The ex-Sporting CP man has started the past three games at centre-back and appears to be getting back to his best.
Often used either at the heart of defence or as a defensive midfielder, Dier has now decided that his long-term future is at the back.
However, the head coach pushed him into his midfield role in the second half at Turf Moor on Saturday to partner Giovani Lo Celso in the middle.
He, as well as the Argentine, was a shining light for Spurs in the remaining 45 minutes as he won the ball and used it well when in possession.
Dier also produced a timely intervention at the back that proved crucial to his side leaving with a point as he just got there in time to deny Matej Vydra as he looked set to pull the trigger after cutting inside.

It has been a tough few days for the player given the unsavoury incident after the full-time whistle against Norwich on Wednesday evening but he ensured that all the headlines were about his standout performance in Lancashire.
Mourinho was asked if the player had justified his selection during his post-match press conference and he was full of praise for him.
"Yeah and you could see that his performance was really solid again and under emotional control," he explained.
"The abuse that comes from the stand in some occasions is a drama, is a world drama, in some other occasions nothing happened.
"He was completely in control and played well at centre-back and very well in midfield.
"I'm very happy with Eric of course."
Dealt a bad hand over the past 12 months with a combination of injury and illness keeping him on the sidelines for an extended period of time, Dier, quite rightly, will now be fully focused on keeping his place in the side over the remaining nine league games.
There is something that will be at the back of his mind, however.
His contract expires at the end of the 2020/21 season and the club really do need to make a decision on his future over the coming months.
Spurs went into the campaign with the futures of Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen the talk of the town as there was a genuine possibility that they would lose all three on free transfers due to their contract situations.
Whereas Alderweireld has penned fresh terms and Eriksen moved onto pastures new, Vertonghen could still depart for nothing in the summer as no deal has been agreed with Spurs as of yet.
The club really need to avoid that situation happening again and Dier's recent performances may have just made Mourinho's mind up that the player does have a long-term future under him at the club and a new contract may be heading his way sooner rather than later.
Carry on like he has over the past few games and Dier's wish of playing at centre-back on a regular basis may also come true.
