Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Spurs could be without both Harry Winks and Erik Lamela for the Premier League clash against Manchester City this weekend.
Spurs will be hoping to top the table by the end of the weekend, with first place playing third as Leicester take on Liverpool on Sunday evening.
A win for Mourinho against old rival Pep Guardiola would make it eight games unbeaten in the league this season for Tottenham after losing the opening day battle against Everton.
Since then, Spurs have gone from strength to strength, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min creating plenty of goals between them.
Mourinho stated that the club are still waiting for a few more decisions to be made with players arriving for Friday's training session, but admitted that Winks had picked up a problem and Lamela will not be ready for this weekend.
"Training session is 3pm, players will report after 1.30pm," Mourinho said during his press conference.
"Waiting for a couple of news and decisions. Couple of players didn't see them yet coming back from national team.
"Winks arrived with little problem. Lamela is still on the last period of recovery. Apart from that no problems."
Mourinho also confirmed to football.london that Steven Bergwijn is fully fit after returning early from international duty.
The young attacker was sent home by Frank de Boer due to fitness issues, but is seemingly ready for action for Spurs.
