Jose Mourinho explains what would make him feel 'very, very sorry' for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Jose Mourinho admits he would feel "very, very sorry" for Jurgen Klopp if Liverpool fail to win the Champions League next weekend.

But the former Manchester United and Chelsea boss believes both Klopp and Tottenham Hotspur counterpart Mauricio Pochettino "deserve something big" in their careers.

Liverpool and Tottenham go head-to-head in the Champions League final next Saturday in Madrid.

Neither Klopp nor Pochettino have won a major trophy since taking over at their respective clubs, while both are also waiting for the first European honour of their managerial careers.

And Mourinho, who won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, has expressed his admiration for the duo when asked what will happen on Saturday.

"I will be very happy for one of my colleagues and I will be very sad for one of them," said Mourinho, speaking to Sky Sports F1.

"I like them both. I think they both deserve something big in their career.

"I will love it if Jurgen on Mauricio win it but I will be very, very sorry to think that one of them is going to lose."
