Jose Mourinho explains Gareth Bale wish ahead of Tottenham's clash with Marine

Tottenham superstar Gareth Bale has told manager Jose Mourinho he wants to play against Marine in the FA Cup.

Crosby-based Marine, who compete in the eighth tier of English football, welcome Premier League giants Spurs to Rossett Park for a third round proper clash on Sunday.

It will see Neil Young face off against Mourinho, with the two-time Champions League winning manager promising to field a strong side for the 5pm kick-off.

"Gareth [Bale] trained for the first time with us today and tomorrow will be the second time," Mourinho said when asked about Bale's injury status.

"Tomorrow after training we will make a decision. What I can say, and this is also a way to show you the respect we're looking at this fixture with, Gareth told me he'd like to go and would like to play.

"So if the feelings are positive after training tomorrow, Gareth will come."

Mourinho also explained how strong his squad will be for their clash with Marine while giving a hint to a couple of players that are set to start.

"Harvey [White] and Jack [Clarke] are U23s and play U23s when we feel they should play there and take minutes, but they are professionals and belong to the first-team squad.

"They have trained with the first-team squad since pre-season and they played in the Europa League, so let's look at them as first-team players, of course they will be involved in the game but they have been involved so many times - it's nothing new.

"With a starting XI plus nine on the bench, we are speaking about 20 players.

"I can tell you we will only take one U18 player and they will be on the bench.

"We have had that in other matches, but one kid will be on the bench out of 20, apart from that we have 19 players from the first-team squad."
