Jose Mourinho drops major hint about his next move in Cristiano Ronaldo 'conversation'

Jose Mourino has hinted Cristiano Ronaldo urged him to take over at Juventus.

The Serie A giants are without a manager after Max Allegri announced his departure at the weekend.

It has been reported on Monday Ronaldo told Juventus chiefs to bring his former gaffer to Turin.

Now Mourinho has delivered a cryptic message that has seemingly backed up those claims.

The Portuguese, who had been linked with the Celtic job, managed Juve rivals Inter Milan and he believes taking charge of the Italian champions would not go down well among Bianconeri fans.

But Mourinho has revealed on beIN Sports one of his former players has asked him to manage Juventus.

He said: “One of the players that I have a great relation with, he plays for a team and he told me, ‘You should come here next season’, and I told him, ‘They don’t love me’.

“He told me, ‘You win three matches and they will start loving you’."

Celtic fans’ interest was piqued earlier this month when reports in Italy claimed Mourinho had been approached about succeeding Brendan Rodgers.

His odds tumbled as the former Manchester United and Real Madrid boss captured the imagination of Hoops supporters.

But club sources told Record Sport the link was not true.
