Christian Eriksen will be in the Tottenham Hotspur squad for Sunday's FA Cup third round tie against Middlesbrough, Jose Mourinho has confirmed.
Fresh speculation surrounds the Denmark international and his future in north London.
According to Ekstra Bladet , Eriksen is closing in on a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan in a deal worth around €20m (£17m) and the deal could be finalised in the coming weeks.
With the 27-year-old out of contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer, this is the Lilywhites' only chance to receive a transfer fee or risk losing him for free.
When asked to comment on Eriken's situation, Mourinho discussed a couple of options for the attacking midfielder and also revealed he will be in the squad to face Boro.
"I don't know and I am being honest," Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference when asked if Eriksen could go this month.
"You know the situation, in this moment he can agree with any club for the end of the season.
"That is one option.
"Another option is a club and himself want to do a deal in January, but in that situation our club is in control. We have the control of the situation.
"Another possibility is he stays. In this moment he is here, he is our player.
"I can say Harry Kane and Ndombele will not be at Middlesbrough, I can say Christian Eriksen will be at Middlesbrough."
If the aforementioned report is true, the FA Cup tie at the Riverside Stadium could turn out to be Eriksen's farewell appearance in a Spurs shirt.
And he will hope to keep up his impressive record against Boro.
The two times Eriksen has faced Boro - in the Premier League during the 2016/17 season - Spurs came out on top on both occasions and third time lucky would seal a place in round four of the competition.
