Jose Mourinho delivers verdict on progress Tottenham have made under his guidance so far

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho believes the club have progressed under his guidance so far but admits there is still work to be done between now and the end of the campaign.

Spurs have suffered three defeats during his tenure so far, with the most recent being last time out against Chelsea - where the overall performance was below expectations.

That left the North London side six points behind the Blues in the battle for Champions League football next season, leaving Spurs with work to do.

However, they have risen up the table since the Portuguese boss took charge but Mourinho is saving his overall verdict until the end of the season.

"Looking at the perspective of the league table, I would say so but that's not the way I want to look at things, I want to look at things in the bigger picture," he told Amazon Prime Video.

"We have objectives for the end of the season. Of course we need to improve, we showed improvements in some areas but in other areas not as much.

"We are working hard and the club is absolutely phenomenal, it gives us all the conditions, we have to go and learn with the mistakes we're making and we have to be positive with the things we have."
