Jose Mourinho delivers Hugo Lloris injury update after Spurs goalkeeper misses Wolves defeat

Jose Mourinho admits he does not know when Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be back from injury.

The Frenchman missed the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a groin issue, with Paulo Gazzaniga replacing the World Cup winner in goal.

It is a fresh setback for Lloris, who made his comeback in January from a dislocated elbow, after missing almost three months after suffering the injury in Spurs' defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion back in October.

But having featured in recent weeks, the Frenchman once again finds himself on the sidelines through injury.

Jose Mourinho: I have no complaints about my players

With Norwich City, Burnley and RB Leipzig to come over the coming days, the World Cup winner will be hoping to be back on the pitch sooner rather than later for the important fixtures.

But Mourinho has delivered an update on Lloris in his post-match press conference following the 3-2 defeat against Wolves in north London.

He said: “I don’t know. It's hard to say when [Hugo] will be back.

"Is it a big problem? I don’t think it is, but not ready for today and we have to wait.”

In his absence, Spurs were beaten by their top four rivals, with Wolves coming from 2-1 down to claim all three points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Nuno Espirito Santo's men moving above Tottenham as a result.
