Jose Mourinho continues Liverpool moans with Instagram post after Spurs loss

Jose Mourinho really hasn't taken Liverpool's win over his Tottenham Hotspur side well at all.

The Reds ran out 2-1 winners as Roberto Firmino 's last-minute winner saw Jurgen Klopp 's side leapfrog Spurs at the top of the Premier League table.

However, despite being second-best to the reigning champions for the majority of the game, the North Londoners did miss a number of good opportunities prior to Liverpool 's winner with Steven Bergwijn going closest when he was denied by the post.

After the game Mourinho revealed he told the Liverpool boss that the better team lost before later hitting out at the German's touchline antics when reiterating the view in his post-match interview.

Later claiming Klopp's behaviour on the sidelines forced him to substitute Giovani Lo Celso, insisting the Reds' bench were trying to get the Argentina international sent off after he had already received a booking, the Portuguese also used his personal Instagram account to dispute the result.

Posting a screengrab from the Premier League footage of the game which showed him looking unimpressed watching on from his seat in the away dugout before Bergwijn hit the woodwork, he wrote: "The moment the post denied us the victory we deserved. Proud of everyone."

Wishful thinking perhaps from Mourinho, overlooking the 30 minutes remaining in the match when his winger missed the golden opportunity, along with the fact that Liverpool actually managed to score a second, match-winning, goal as one continued to elude the visitors.

Liverpool now sit three points clear of Tottenham at the top of the table ahead of their trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime, with Mourinho's men next in action at home to Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.
