A pop-up tequila taproom is opening in Bristol today - and it could become a permanent feature.
Tequila brand Jose Cuervo will open the bar from this afternoon (Friday, September 17) until Sunday, based inside the Liberty House events space at 11-13 Stokes Croft.
It will offer tequila cocktails poured from a tap, table games and DJ sets, as well as a tequila masterclass from the Jose Cuervo team, who will be on hand for informal chats about tequila and its history.

'Tequila educator' Oliver Pergl said: “The Jose Cuervo Tequila Taproom combines all the best parts of a traditional beer and IPA taproom, except a few fun additional ingredients, such as sea of colour from the tables, chairs and bar to banging DJs.
“And the key reason we are all here: tequila cocktails poured from a tap. What’s not to love?
“It’s the perfect location for casual catch-up drinks or a night out. We can’t wait to bring the party to Bristol.”

Since the announcement of the pop-up tequila bar there has been a “buzz” from residents eager to get in touch to find out more, according to Mr Pergl.
The brand opened a pop-up taproom in London last weekend, said to the "world's first" tequila taproom, and Mr Pergl has not ruled out the possibility of bringing the concept to Bristol permanently.
He said: “I don’t see any reason why the Jose Cuervo tequila taproom can’t become a permanent fixture.
“It’s [got] delicious cocktails served in a fun, new unique way. I can see it changing the way we view cocktails forever!”
The pop-up attraction will be open from 12pm until 11pm today and tomorrow (Saturday, September 18), and from 12pm until 9pm on Sunday.
It is open to over-18s only and entry will be free.
