Leeds United have made quite an impression since their return to the Premier League, both on and off the field - with a number of impressive signings.
Rodrigo Moreno, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente have all arrived in Marcelo Bielsa's side, along with a plethora of young talent, and business in the market isn't done.
Heading into Deadline Day, Leeds are pushing to sign winger Raphinha from Rennes and remain in the market for a central midfielder.
Among those touted for a move is Levante midfielder Jose Campana. Here, we've gathered the latest news and rumours surrounding the Spaniard.
£23m price-tag
Leeds United's move for Jose Campana is 'still possible' heading into the closing days of the transfer window but only if they meet Levante's demands.
AS states that while a 'formal offer' from the Whites has been rebuffed, the La Liga outfit are still open to a sale but they are seeking a significant price.
Campana, who could become a Spain international during the upcoming international break after being named in Luis Enrique's squad, is available for a price of £23m.
'Informal enquiry'
Leeds United made their interest in Jose Campana clear with a 'formal enquiry' to Levante regarding the player, Marca states.
The La Liga side initially stated they wanted £27m for the player's signature, half of his £55m release clause, but that figure was not one Leeds are willing to match.
Crucially, it's stated that there wasn't an actual offer made by Leeds and the approach was merely testing the water.
€15m bid
While it was suggested by the aforementioned report that Leeds did not table an actual offer for Jose Campana, that isn't the case according to claims elsewhere.
El Desmarque states that offer stood at around €15m, which is interestingly the same price that Marca also cited in their report mentioned above.
However, that price is below the fee that Levante are looking to secure for the player's signature and, as such, the offer was rejected.
