The all-Premier League UEFA Super Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea in Istanbul was always going to feel a little strange, and so it proved for the Blues midfielder Jorginho.
Jurgen Klopp's European Champions took on Frank Lampard's Europa League winners in the Turkish capital, for what was the first time that European football's traditional curtain-raiser was contested by two English sides.
Many saw the Reds as favourites for the contest given both sides' rather different starts to the Premier League season at the weekend.
Liverpool swept aside newly-promoted Norwich City 4-1 at Anfield to get their campaign off to the perfect start, while Lampard experienced a nightmare beginning as they lost 4-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Chelsea looked better in Istanbul though, and things were in perfect working order for them during the first half in Turkey.
Well except for midfielder Jorginho.
Because fans were quick to notice the error on the former Napoli man's shirt, on which his name was spelled incorrectly.
It meant that it was 'Jorghino' who was playing for Lampard's side, and not their usual midfielder.
The Italy international recently spoke about the difference of playing under Lampard and Maurizio Sarri.
“It has been a new experience for me. I am liking it as I am learning, which I like to do," he said.
“I am happy I got this opportunity; I like to learn and find out more. It’s going to be beneficial to my career and the club and the team. I have an open mind to learning new experiences.
“No, I wouldn’t say I was sad [when Sarri left]. He was my coach and we had worked together for four years but the time had come to go separate ways and I am very thankful to him for giving me the opportunity and everything I learnt from him."
