'Jorginho’s replacement' - Chelsea fans go mad as Mason Mount shows what he can do in training

There is high hopes for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

The Blues midfielder spent last season on loan at Championship club Derby County, under the management of now Chelsea boss Frank Lampard. The 20-year-old quickly established himself as one of the league's most exciting and dangerous players, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in the Rams' run to the play-off final.

One of them assists came in the League Cup defeat at Stamford Bridge, as the Blues gave the youngster special permission to play against them when the two teams met back in October.

Mount has now returned to Chelsea, quickly followed by Lampard, who was appointed as the club's head coach.

The player is currently in Dublin with the Blues first team for pre-season, although he didn't play any part in the club's opening due to returning to training later after the U21 European Championships.

Ahead of the game, it seems that the midfielder has been practicing his free-kick skills, some of which were caught on camera by the club's media team.

A video of the England U21 international putting a free-kick into the top corner has appeared on the club's social media channels, and it has Chelsea fans excited, with some supporters suggesting that he should be given a chance in the first team for the coming season.

Take a look at some of the reaction to the video below:
