Jorginho's agent tells Juventus what they must do to complete transfer deal

Joao Santos - the agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho - has provided a latest update on the state of play concerning the Italian's future.

Over the past few weeks, the central-midfielder, who, just like the rest of his Chelsea teammates, is gearing up for the Premier League's return later this month, has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A to link up with former Blues boss Marizio Sarri for a third time, this time at Juventus.

Sarri brought Jorginho to Stamford Bridge from Napoli back in the summer of 2018 after the midfielder had proven to be a big player during the pair's time in Naples.

Though Sarri left Stamford Bridge after just one season in the job, being replaced by Frank Lampard, Jorginho has continued to impress in West London, proving to be a key performer under Lampard.

And it is those performance levels that have convinced Sarri to keep a close eye on his progress, as he plots a reunion with him for the third time.

Despite some reports claiming that a deal is close to being completed, with some suggesting that a swap deal could see Chelsea sign Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi in exchange for the midfielder, Jorginho's agent insists no deal has been discussed between him and Juventus.

"If it should happen, I say that anyone who wants Jorginho has to talk to Chelsea and Marina [Granovskaia]," Santos told TuttoJuve.com. "Then we will evaluate together what to do. That would not be a problem.

"I only hear about these rumours from the newspapers, because nobody from Juventus has contacted me.

"Maurizio Sarri appreciates him very much as a person and a player, they worked very well together, but that’s all there is to it right now.

"The player is focused only on Chelsea, he’s resumed training and is preparing for the Premier League restart.

"In my view, it would be difficult for the Bianconeri to buy him today, because the transfer market has changed with the pandemic and Jorginho has a contract with Chelsea until 2023.

"He is the vice-captain and considered an important player for the squad.

"I don’t just mean Juventus, but all the biggest European clubs would struggle to pay that much for one player right now."

This season, Jorginho, 28, has racked up 37 appearances for the Blues, scoring seven goals and claiming two assists.
