Jorginho's agent has revealed Chelsea rejected the offer of a swap deal from Juventus for the midfielder.
The Italian midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Juve earlier this summer, when Maurizio Sarri was still in charge of the Old Lady.
Sarri has a close relationship with Jorginho, who was a key part of his teams at Chelsea and Napoli, and Juve were prepared to offer Miralem Pjanic in return for the midfielder.
Yet Sarri's departure appears to have ended any interest Juve had in Jorginho, with agent Joao Santos revealing he had not heard from sporting director Fabio Paratici since the manager's exit.
Pjanic, meanwhile, has since gone to Barcelona.
"Juventus had offered a swap deal including Miralem Pjanic, but the English side didn't take it into consideration," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
"Paratici never called me. Would he have moved to Juventus with Sarri? I think so."
With Frank Lampard overhauling his Chelsea squad this summer, there have been some question marks over Jorginho's future.
Santos says he could drum up plenty of interest in the 28-year-old if the midfielder were to find himself out of favour at Stamford Bridge at the start of this season.
"He has a three-year deal with Chelsea. The market is long, it will last until October 5," he said.
"If Chelsea were to think that he is no longer part of the project, I would find an alternative solution.
"Last year he played 40 games for Chelsea and is an important member of the national team.
"So far we haven't received any official offers. He is followed by many clubs and there aren't many players with his characteristics in that role."
