Jorginho has spoken out about the departure of Maurizio Sarri.
After guiding Chelsea to a third place finish in the Premier League last season as well as winning the Europa League, the Italian departed Stamford Bridge after less than 12 months as head coach.
He's taken over the reins at Juventus and could be in line for a return to west London in the knockout stages of the Champions League later in the season.
One of the players Sarri left behind was Jorginho, his first signing after being appointed by the Blues.
And one whom garnered a lot of criticism last season.
However, despite playing under Sarri for four years Jorginho had a rather surprising response when asked if was sad to see his compatriot leave earlier in the summer.
"No, I wouldn't say I was sad," Jorginho told Sky Sports.
"He was my coach and we had worked together for four years but the time had come to go separate ways and I am very thankful to him for giving me the opportunity and everything I learnt from him, but now it is a new page and I have a new coach and I have to work hard and learn a lot.
"We have to look ahead."
Frank Lampard is now Jorginho's new head coach and the Italy international is relishing the prospect of learning under the Blues legend.
"It has been a new experience for me. I am liking it as I am learning, which I like to do," he added. "I am happy I got this opportunity;
"I like to learn and find out more.
"It's going to be beneficial to my career and the club and the team.
"I have an open mind to learning new experiences."
Jorginho was actually linked with a reunion with Sarri at Juventus earlier in the summer, but looks poised to play a key role under Lampard this season starting with next weekend's trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
