Jorginho could cause Frank Lampard another selection headache amid Chelsea injury woes

Chelsea have struggled with injury worries over the past few weeks and Jorginho might just cause Frank Lampard another selection headache.

The 28-year-old midfielder is just one yellow card away from a two-game Premier League match and would throw Lampard's plans into chaos.

N'Golo Kante is still struggling with an adductor injury, which has come as another big blow to the World Cup winner's season.

The Blues take on Bournemouth tomorrow at the Vitality Stadium, and a booking for Jorginho will mean he will miss the Everton and Aston Villa matches.

Chelsea 0-3 Bayern Munich: Frank Lampard press conference

The Italy international has picked up nine Premier League yellow cards so far this season, and he also handed Lampard another blow on Tuesday night.

Jorginho picked up a booking in the 3-0 Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich, meaning that he will miss the last 16 second leg.

The midfielder is set to start the match in the middle of the park this weekend at Bournemouth, and Lampard could go for four at the back.

If Jorginho gets another yellow card, then it means Lampard might have to dip into the squad and use more players at his disposal.

Ross Barkley might slot into the midfield, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek also looking to return and play his first minutes of the campign.

Lampard might also have to look to 18-year-old Billy Gilmour, who has recently been promoted to the first team on a full-time basis.
