Jorgie Porter, 31, says 'kids aren't in her future' as 'babies don't excite her'

Actress Jorgie Porter has opened up about her desire to not have children in a candid magazine interview.

Following nine years in Hollyoaks and a stint on I'm A Celebrity..Get Me Out of Here!, Jorgie, 31, is currently touring the UK in Fame: The Musical.

She admits that while her love life has taken a back seat as she focuses on her 'dream' stage career, she's not ready to settle down any time soon.

"Right now I can't see babies in my future," admitted Jorgie in this week's New magazine. "I think people are surprised by that," she added.

She went on: "I enjoy working, I enjoy dancing. I don't even know what the words 'settle down' mean any more. I love travelling, I love my freedom... I just don't get excited about babies."

Jorgie said she's the only one of her close friends who isn't a mum but being surrounded by newborns doesn't make her feel broody in the slightest.

"My best friend has twins and when I visit her I realise 'Wow - this is hard, this is exhausting.' I'm just not on that wavelength," she explained. "The thought of raising a human is daunting."

Jorgie, who looked for love on Celebs Go Dating, said that her longest relationship lasted three years.

The ex soap star revealed she's currently single with no plans to change that.

"I actually don't have a burning desire to find someone," she said. "I've been texting boys and do get a lot of lads sliding into my DMs but right now I'm not settling. I'm not wasting my time on someone when I know what I want.

"A lot of the time these guys have girlfriends too. Why slide into my DMS and think just because you've sent me a picture of your penis we should be together?" Jorgie dispaired.

Four years ago Jorgie was one of the famous faces taking part in I'm A Celeb, which has now returned for its 19th series on ITV.

Jorgie's 2015 series was eventually won by Vicky Pattison, who she says has come out to support her on tour.
