Jorge Santana dead: Carlos Santana's younger brother dies at age 68 of 'natural causes'

Much-loved singer Jorge Santana has died at the age of 68.

The star, younger brother of musician Carlos Santana, passed away on Thursday, according to reports.

His death is believed to have been attributed to natural causes.

A representative for the late singer confirmed the sad news to TMZ.com on Friday.

Legend Santana is best known for his 1970s hits Suavecito and Darling I Love You.

The San Francisco native was 'incredibly close' to his sibling Carlos, whose band he rose to fame with in the 1990s.

Despite making a name for himself there, Jorge made waves in his earlier music career in the seventies with hit songs Love The Way and Sandy.

His and his brothers band Malo signed with Warner Bros and their self-titled album included the top 20 hit "Suavecito".

This was known as the Chicano national anthem played at carne asada kickbacks all over the country.

The track was such a huge hit that they would were given the opportunity to perform on "American Bandstand" back in 1972.

After their big break, Malo went on to produce three more highly successful albums before eventually breaking up and parting ways.

Not ready to give up on his music career, a mere five years later, Jorge released two solo albums.

His first was titled "Jorge Santana" and in 1979 he dropped his second smash hit album "It's all About Love."

Jorge's music and charm will be missed by his devoted fans all over the globe..

Rest in peace.
