Jorge Mendes believes Cristiano Ronaldo making it to 800 goals is the 'biggest achievement ever in football.'
Despite recent struggles on the pitch at Manchester United, 2021 has been another fantastic year in front of goal for Ronaldo and many more records were broken in his wake.
Most notably of all was that the Portuguese became the leading goalscorer in the men's international game of all time.
Ronaldo surpassed Iranian icon Ali Daei's long-standing record of 115 international goals in October after netting a late brace to help his country come from behind to beat the Republic of Ireland.
With 13 goals in 20 appearances for United so far this season, 2021 has also seen Ronaldo surpass 800 senior career goals.
Ronaldo was awarded with his latest individual accolade on Monday as Globe Soccer gave him the 2021 Globe Soccer Award for Top Scorer of All Time.
As the 36-year-old couldn't be present in Dubai to accept the prize as he was on the pitch competing in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United, agent Mendes accepted it on his behalf.
While on the stage, Mendes waxed lyrical about Ronaldo's exploits.
"I think it's the biggest achievement ever in football," Mendez said on stage.
"It's amazing. Very difficult to score 800 goals, just CR. I think he's the only one who could do it. The best player in the world, the best ever.
"Congratulations Cristiano and happy new year for all of you."
