Jorge Masvidal sends message to Nate Diaz: ‘(Expletive) these losers. See you at MSG.’

The UFC 244 main event is still up in the air, but Jorge Masvidal (34-13 MMA, 11-6 UFC) has set his sights on one Nate Diaz (20-11 MMA, 15-9 UFC).

UFC 244 takes place Nov. 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The main card streams on pay-per-view after prelims on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.

Initially, things seemed to trend in the direction of Kamaru Usman versus Colby Covington for a main event in New York City. But recent revelations have unveiled some dysfunction between UFC brass and former interim champ Covington. According to ESPN, a bout between Usman and Jorge Masvidal was also being discussed, as of yesterday.

Thursday afternoon, Masvidal took to Twitter to accuse Usman of not wanting to sign a bout contract. Usman responded and denied the claims.

In a tweet posted Friday morning, Masvidal moved his focus away from Usman and challenged Diaz to a matchup in Madison Square Garden. He also proposed the bout be a title fight for the “BMF” title. In case you’re wondering, “BMF” stands for –– uhhh, well. I’m sure you can figure out that one.

A bout between the two fighters entered the public conversation following Diaz’s UFC 241 bout in August. After he defeated Anthony Pettis by unanimous decision, Diaz took to the microphone to call out “Gamebred”. Stockton’s own cited Masvidal’s realness and willingness to fight as the main factors he issued the challenge.
