Jorge Masvidal reacts to feud between Dana White and Jake Paul with brutal jibe

Jorge Masvidal has reacted to Dana White's ongoing feud with Jake Paul by joking it has taken the UFC president "four years" to respect his work.

The UFC star was included in an offer from Paul to White in a bid to force through a fight between the pair, by vowing to retire from boxing if the conditions were met.

However White bullishly dismissed the offer and praised Masvidal in the process by labelling him one of the biggest "pay-per-view stars" in the promotion.

Now the 37-year-old has mocked UFC kingpin White's with a joking comment, tweeting : " Thank you to my employer for recognising my hard work. Only took you 4 years. Super necessary."

Masvidal previously had a good relationship with Paul before thing have turned sour in recent months with the YouTube star making his rise in boxing.

Paul is keen to make a fight with Masvidal with their exchanges continuing and has sent a begging message to White for the promotion's president to let his stars compete in the iron square.

He has also included Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz on his 'hit-list' of fighters he would like to face in crossover bouts from the company.

An original offer came in from Paul which also continued to take aim at the treatment of fighters in the UFC including pay and healthcare.

But White ripped in to Paul in a social media video released to dismiss the offer, including a dig at Paul's manager Nakisa Bidarian.

He spoke in a video posted on Instagram : "You’re too stupid. And for those of you that don’t know, if you’ve ever watched one of his fights and you see the staredown, the guy that’s standing in the middle with the warlock nose and the big wart on his face, apparently that’s his manager.

"That guy used to be an accountant for me and let’s just say this: He no longer works for me, and I think he’s a scumbag. But, if you two think that you can do it better than we do, we’re doing the whole thing wrong and you’re treating the fighters better than we do: Knock yourself out.

"Go start your own business. It’s easy to do. You can’t sell pay-per-views. You’re calling out Jorge Masvidal because he’s a pay-per-view superstar. Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson – these are all superstars. You’re not. You can’t sell pay-per-views. So you do whatever the hell you want to do. I’m ready to roll, buddy. Let’s do this Jake."

Paul has since responded to White's decline of the offer with a three-minute rant of his own which continues to criticise the president branding him "greedy" and a "b****".

For now Masvidal is keen on redemption in the welterweight division and could reschedule his bout with Leon Edwards this year.

Meanwhile Paul could look to face a "natural" boxer next having also called out previous scheduled rival Tommy Fury and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
