Jorge Grant departs Nottingham Forest for Lincoln City

Jorge Grant has left Nottingham Forest to join Lincoln City.

The midfielder has made a permanent move to Sincil Bank, for an undisclosed fee.

Grant, 24, has had a nomadic existence in recent seasons, during loan spells with Notts County, Luton Town and Mansfield Town.

The product of the Nigel Doughty Academy was long regarded as a young man with serious potential at the City Ground.

But he has struggled to pin down a regular first team place with the Reds, making eight starts and 12 sub appearances for the club, scoring once - in memorable fashion during a League Cup game at Tottenham, in 2014.

Grant made 15 starts and two sub appearances for Stags in League Two, during the second half of last season, scoring four goals.

He had previously made a big impact at Meadow Lane, where he scored 19 goals during the 2017/18 season, amid 43 starts and 12 sub appearances in all competitions.

But he will now join up with Danny Cowley's side, as they look to find their feet in League One, after securing promotion last season.
