Jordon Mutch in talks with Kilmarnock as star aims to win deal

Former English Premier League midfielder Jordon Mutch is in talks with Kilmarnock as he aims to win a deal with the Rugby Park side, the Kilmarnock Standard can exclusively reveal.

The 28-year-old is without a club after most recently leaving South Korean side Gyeongnam FC.

He has plenty of experience in the English game after turning out for sides such as Birmingham City, Watford, Cardiff City, Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace.

He is hoping to reignite his career as he looks to sign with Alex Dyer’s men, and he is set to start training tomorrow.

It was a relatively disappointing transfer window for Killie who added only Kirk Broadfoot on deadline day.

They had previously signed Nicke Kabamba from Hartlepool United and free agent Harry Bunn.

A number of deals fell through but now gaffer Dyer is aiming to add to his ranks with free agents.

Mutch was linked with a move to Celtic in 2016 but his career has stalled since, with a spell in the MLS with Vancouver Whitecaps as well as his Korean experience.
