Jordi Osei-Tutu issues Nottingham Forest injury update

Nottingham Forest full-back Jordi Osei-Tutu has issued what looks to be a positive injury update.

The on-loan Arsenal defender, who is one of eight signings to arrive at Nottingham Forest over the summer, has been sidelined since being forced off during the 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers on August 18.

Osei-Tutu managed only 14 minutes before needing to be replaced at the City Ground due to a hamstring injury.

Fears had been raised that it was possibly a recurrence of the injury that blighted his loan spell at Cardiff City last season.

But he has now shared an apparently upbeat message with regards to his recovery.

On his Instagram story, he shared a picture of his leg in football boots with the timer emoji to go alongside it.

A right-back by trade, Osei-Tutu has been forced to operate as a left-back due to a shortage of options in the position at the City Ground.

The Arsenal loanee's injury has seen Gaetan Bong brought in to the fold from the cold. However, the arrivals of left-back Max Lowe from Sheffield United and right-back Mohamed Drager from Olympiakos have somewhat eased the pressure for boss Chris Hughton in defence.
