Jordan Stevens slapped with a six-week blackout ban from all football activity for betting offences

Jordan Stevens has been banned from all footballing activity, including contact with anyone connected to Leeds United, for six weeks after placing 59 bets on matches.

News of the 19-year-old’s misconduct charge in relation to The Football Association’s Betting Rules first emerged on August 2.

Stevens accepted the charge and co-operated with every aspect of the subsequent investigation which has resulted in a £1,200 fine and hefty ban from the authorities.

A statement from The FA said: “Jordan Stevens has been suspended from all football and football related activity with immediate effect for a period of six weeks.

“The Leeds United player admitted a misconduct charge in relation to The FA’s Betting Rules after it was alleged that he placed 59 bets on football matches between August 6, 2018 and May 27, 2019.

“The midfielder was also fined £1,200.”

Stevens will be banned from training, interacting with players or staff and cannot even work at Thorp Arch off-the-field.
