JORDAN SPIETH FACTS
1. He was born, raised and still lives in Dallas, Texas.
2. His parents are called Shawn Spieth and Mary Christine Spieth (née Julius). His brother is named Steven and his sister is called Ellie.
3. He turned pro aged 19.
4. Despite comes from a long line of athletes, Spieth was the only golfer in the family. His mum and brother played basketball at University, whilst his dad was a baseball player.
5. As a child he was known to cut the lawn at home as low as possible, just so he could work on his game.
6. Spieth learned to play golf at Brookhaven Country Club.
7. Spieth won the US Junior Amateur in 2009 and 2011, joining Tiger Woods as the only other multiple-time champion.
8. He was a part of Team USA's 2011 Walker Cup team alongside the likes of Patrick Cantlay, Russell Henley and Harris English. Remarkably, despite a stellar line-up and Spieth scoring 2.5 points from a possible three, Team USA fell to a 14-12 defeat.
