Jordan Reed out vs. Eagles; Redskins promote JP Holtz from practice squad

On an abnormally busy news day for a Saturday, the Washington Redskins announced that tight end Jordan Reed is not expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the Eagles, as he continues to deal with the fallout from a concussion a couple of weeks ago.

In the wake of this, the Redskins were forced to bring up another TE to their roster, where they promoted J.P. Holtz from the practice squad and released wide receiver, Robert Davis.

According to NBC Sports Washington, the team hopes that this is not a long-term roster moved, and they hope to get Reed, and Davis, back on the roster next week, which would send Holtz back to the practice squad.
