Jordan Pickford to meet Everton bosses after video emerges of 'incident' on Sunderland night out

Former Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is due to meet Everton bosses to discuss a video allegedly showing his involvement in a fracas outside a Wearside pub.

Footage appeared to show the England international involved in an altercation outside a pub in Sunderland during the early hours of Monday morning.

Pickford is believed to have enjoyed a night out with friends before reportedly reacting to teasing by Newcastle United fans.

The Liverpool Echo reports an ambulance service spokesman confirmed they were called out to the incident, but were later asked to stand down and did not attend.

They are no reports of any serious injuries but the matter is under police investigation.

Mail Online has now reported that Pickford is set to discuss the matter with Everton head coach Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands during a meeting at training base Finch Farm on Wednesday.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "At 12:19am (Monday), police received a report of a disturbance involving a large group of individuals on Tunstall Road, Sunderland .

"Inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and locate those involved.

"Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured and no arrests have been made."

A statement from Everton read: "The club has been made aware of an alleged incident involving one of our players and we are looking into the matter."
